What is so special about mount everest :
The world's highest peak, Mount Everest (8848 m, 29028 ft) is located in Khumjung Gabis, Solukhumbu District, Ward No. 04, Nepal, China on the border. The area of the summit of Mount Everest is about 7 square kilometers. It is located at 27 degrees 59 minutes 17 seconds north latitude and 86 degrees 55 minutes 31 seconds east longitude. The base camp of Everest is located at an altitude of 5356 meters above sea level. Itihas Shiromani Baburam Acharya named it Sagarmatha in 1956 and published it in Sarada magazine. As per the decision taken by the Government of Nepal in 2008, the day of the first ascent of Mt. Everest is celebrated on May 29 every year.
