Nepal is a landlocked country in South Asia. Nepal extends from 26 degrees 22 minutes to 30 degrees 27 minutes north latitude and from 80 degrees 4 minutes to 88 degrees 12 minutes east longitude. Nepal occupies 0.03 percent of the world's land area, 0.3 percent of Asia and 2.82 percent of South Asia. Nepal is located between India and China, two huge countries in Asia. Due to the diversity of topography as well as the extreme variation of climate and weather, tropical, mesothermal, micro thermal, taiga and tundra climates are found in Nepal.
